Is Bio Oil suitable for use during pregnancy?
Yes. An overwhelming majority of women experience stretch marks during the course of their pregnancy. Bio Oil is specifically designed to tackle this problem in a way that is not only effective, but safe.
Bio-Oil should be applied to the abdomen, breasts, hips, buttocks and thighs twice daily from the first trimester to maintain the elasticity of the skin. This reduces the possibility of stretch marks forming.
For best results, apply Bio Oil immediately after bathing or showering, and allow to absorb before putting on your clothes.
Can I use Bio Oil whilst I am breast feeding?
A baby's body is very sensitive and contact with foreign substances should be kept to a minimum where possible. Bio Oil is formulated using natural ingredients, however we recommend that you do not apply it to the nipple or the surrounding area whilst you are breast feeding. This eliminates any chance of your baby ingesting the product.
Normal use on the rest of your body is not harmful to your baby.
Is it safe to use Bio Oil on my child?
Children may benefit from the use of Bio Oil from the age of 2 years onwards. Special attention must always be paid when applying Bio Oil to young children who may move and fidget! -- as with all skin care products, care must be taken around the eye and mouth areas.
